The digital and sustainable transition affecting the entire mobility system for passenger and freight requires new skills to be developed, highlighting the importance of taking action in the field of research, collaborating with universities and research organisations, institutions and public and private players in the transport, infrastructure and logistics sectors.
The FS Research Centre is the FS Group’s in-house high-skill centre for advanced studies and research on mobility and relative issues, focusing on sustainability and climate change, green transformation and decarbonisation of transport, digital revolution, Big Data and Internet of Things, innovative transport systems, sharing economy, socio-economic and environmental impacts of transport systems, governance, ethics and equity in mobility.
The research centre consists of a team of experts in mobility, transport, socioeconomics, environment, territory, data intelligence, geographic information systems and innovative technologies, who develop mathematical models and data analysis systems.
FS Research Centre is the official statistics bureau and also the FS Group’s focal point for universities and research institutes with regard to scientific collaborations and towards institutions and industry stakeholders.
